I have made a revelation! (I think) Crookshanks is the half blood prince. For one, it's an almost perfect description, Crookshanks half kneazle, satisfying the half-blood part, so who's with me? (or maybe it's Hermione and Grawp's child *wink*)

Or perhaps not. I was reading THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX today, and I noticed a description remarkably like that given to us of the Half Blood Prince when the door on JKR's site opened a while ago... Here's JKR's quote: He) looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his bushy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp. I read something in Order of the Phoenix that suggested that MUNDUNGUS FLETCHER (that's right) is the half blood prince, but it is DEFINITELY not for sure...

hmm, well maybe I ought to read the books myself so I know what you are talking about! I never managed to get into the Harry Potter series, another thing to fit in somewhere in the schedule!

Wow, I never thought of that. Definitely an interesting idea. I haven't read the books for ages though, so I think I need to go through them again to find that hint you were talking about. Can you give the chapter, or something?

*points at Rimiel's new rank* ooo... shiny! It was in the first chapter that Harry is in Grimmauld Place. Somewhere...
