Greetings all to the LOTR Palace boards! We are glad that you have come across the site. This site is dedicated to Tolkien fans around the world, focussing on Tolkien Lore, RPGing Skills, Military Actions and basically a celebration of the Lord of the Rings works! How do I become a Member?
Becoming a member is very easy and totally free. Simply use the register button at the top right hand corner of the screen (next to the banner)
What are points?
Points are used to measure a Member's knowledge, activity and dedication to the palace and the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. Points are used to achieve higher Ranks which will explained in more detail later on.
How can I earn Points?
-post in forums. However, your posts must be detailed, interesting and relevant to the forum, or they will be deleted.
-participate actively and you may be tributed (given points) by admins
What are ranks?
Ranks are used to determine a member's kingdom and activity on the palace. Each kingdom has its own rank system, and can move up a rank by earning a certain amount of points. Each kingdom has a thread dedicated to displaying their ranks.
Who are the rulers?
Each kingdom has two rulers, who look after their respective kingdom within a certain category. You may also see their are several overriding kingdoms, Kingdoms of Men, Elves, Hobbits, Dwarves and Dark Lords. Each of these has an ruler that overrides each of the kingdom rulers.
What are kingdoms?
Kingdoms are a way of defining a member's race on the palace. There are 5, as mentioned above, however, each kingdom contains several other places
e.g. Kingdoms of Men are Gondor, Rohan and Arnor.
Members can choose to join one of the three.
What is Valinor?
Valinor could be seen as the Palace Council where all Administrators and Rulers are gathered with Eru. This is where the Valinorians discuss palace matters and decide on many things that give shape to the Palace
Who are the Administrators?
The admins are here to make sure that the palace runs smoothly and cleanly. They are capable of doing many things to make sure the place stays safe as well, and make it a most enjoyable experience.
The Forums
What are the Forums?
The Fanatic Forums are basically a messageboard system where members can read and write messages and converse with each other.
They are divided into seperate boards, with many categories in between them.

What rules are there when Posting?
To avoid loss of points, suspension or even deletion of your account it is very important that you learn the basic rules when it comes to posting messages in the forums.
Do not start an argument with an Administrator or Ruler. If you feel you have been truly mistreated by an Administrator or Ruler than either publically announce it in the Administrator's Forum or send an email to lotrpalace@yahoo.com
Stay on Topic! There are Forums for almost any subject that you would like to discuss. Stay relevant to the topic at hand. In general try to say something meaningfull and interesting. We do not expect massive posts each and everytime, but they must be relevant to the topic and suitable.
Where can I start threads?
Threads may be started anywhere on the palace except for the following forums
-in kingdoms
-in admin messages
-in news board
other than that, you are free to begin a thread where you like, but if you are unsure, you can always PM an admin for prior approval, rather than have a thread deleted afterwards.
How do I report a misbehaving Member?
If you see a member spamming, writing offensive messages or in anyway break the rules given above then you can report this member to the Abuse & Spammers forum. An admin will take action from there.
