"Upon the very eve of Midsummer, when the sky was blue as sapphire and white stars opened in the east, but the West was still golden, and the air was cool and fragrant, the riders came down the North-Way to the gates of Minas Tirith. First rode Elrohir and Elladan with a banner of silver, and then came Glorfindel and Erestor and all the household of Rivendell, and after them came the lady Galadriel and Celeborn,Lord of Lothlorien, riding upon white steeds ad with them many fair folk of their land, grey cloaked with white gems in their hair; and last came master Elrond, mighty among elves and men, bearing the Sceptre of Annuminas, and beside him upon a grey palfrey rode Arwen and his daughter, Evenstar of her people.
And Frodo when he saw her come glimmering in the evening, with stars on her brow and a sweet fragrance about her, was moved with great wonder and he said to Gandalf: 'At last I understand why we have waited! This is th ending. Now not day only shall be loved, but night too shall be beautiful and blessed all its fear passes away!'
Then the King welcomed his guests and they alighted;and Elrond surrendered the sceptre, and laid the hand of his daughter in the hand of the King, and together they went up into the High City, and all the stars followed in the sky. And Aragorn the King Elessar wedded Arwen Undomiel in the City of Kings upon the day of Midsummer, and the tale of their long waiting and labours was come to fulfilment"-The Steward and the King, page 302, Return of the King The Wedding of King Elessar and Queen Arwen Undomiel! Post by King Elessar on Dec 7, 2004 11:43:46 GMT 10
The King, hand in hand with the beautiful Lady Arwen entered the magnificently decorated hall. A smile on his face and a smile on hers, the King loved her for who she was. The foods laid on the table from the servants of the Tower were excellent, and the King thanked them for it. He looked around at the guests, and was surprised how early it was, and the honourary members were yet to come from realms afar. Dressed in full armour and the bearings of his forebearers, he greeted the guests, as he bade Arwen to greet friends and other arriving guests.
Elessar came first to the High General Halimar who was in Annuminas for a time, rebuilding the old city itself. The Commander General Tarondor was standing beside him, in full armour as well, and looking his best. The Commander of Arnor, Giliathriel, was a very important person, and was yet to come with her officers and the 2nd in Command, Siolformona. He welcomed more of his guests, the Colonel of the Gondorian Roquen, Gorlas the many High Captains and Lieutenant majors were steadily among them, offering gifts. But what became of their friends of distant lands, the King knew not. He therefore bade the Citadel Guards to watch for them. The people of Minas Tirith and other parts of Middle Earth congregated outside, waitin for entrance into the great feast hall. Therefore, the King bade Arwen into a room to talk to her before the ceremony.

Giliathriel, the commander of Arnor walked in in a stately manner, holding herself high, knowing she couldn't make her usual blunders. She glanced around with awe at the beautiful scene before her. She was not wearing her usual tunic and long pants, but an elegant dark green and light blue gown that touched the floor, and lined with silver colored thread. Her hair was put up in an elegant style(OCC: i'm thinking ROTJ princess Leia style, on Endor). She nodded to each of her comrades, and stopped before the King and the soon to be Queen, Lady Arwen, who was certainly the spotlight of the whole event] My King, My Lady,Giliathriel said with a bow This is a truly lovely day. I am happy for you both, and hope that you will live long and in love. Due to the reports I have been given, the hall is secure, and no mortal intruder will come in unbidden. We will make sure you two and the rest of the court are not harmed. Good luck, my friends.

Marshal Erkendorn of the Meduseld Eored of Rohan
The 1st Marshal rode into the White City, dressed in elegant armour and with the Knights and officers of the Meduseld Eored with him. He was the first company of the Rohirrim to arrive at Minas Tirith, and with him, rode the knights of the King and Queen's Household. The King was rather silent as he rode into the city, and bowed to the King Elessar and Queen Arwen as they came before him. "My lords, an honour it was for us to come to your magnificent wedding, and we bear gifts to you for this lovely day".

With a bit of reluctance, Morgoth had agreed to visit the wedding. He normally wasn't into such things, but he had felt obligated to, for some reason. Whatever it was, the Dark Lord also felt compelled to wear something the mortals considered "nice." He wasn't too familiar with that though, so had consulted a minion friend of his, who wasn't much help at all. Oh well, he thought to himself, figuring his black robes would be formal enough for such an occasion. He even combed his flowing mane of jet hair, making him look quite different. Still evil, of course, but different, in some way or another.
Once he was ready, the Dark Lord rode on a fell beast to Gondor, and had quite a bit of fun, chasing herds of horses around. He landed outside the building, knowing, through intuition, or perhaps invitation, which place was the proper one. As a gift, for the happy couple, Morgoth brought a boquet of exta-thorny black roses, straight from the scorched dirt of Mordor. Taking a breath, he spluttered, being quite un-used to the clean air of the free lands. After he had composed himself, the Dark Lord stepped inside, and saw that it was quite empty. So much for a big entrance, he muttered, then breathed in the lovely fragrance of the ebony roses, finding the "stench," as many called it, to be quite refreshing...

Lithlaewen tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she walked into the hall. She felt a little bad for being so late, due to some problems in Greenwood, (ooc: actually my com broke down, but yea)what with the sudden increase of spiders and nobody to get rid of them. She held on to a small, but extremely fragile package in her arms as she went to sit by the Dark Lord, many would be surprised by this, but she got to know him well, and he wasn't as bad as many people thought he was.
She looked around for Arwen or for Aragon, but the whole hall seemed rather empty. Her mind drifted off to her missing husband, Thranduil had been gone on a 'quest' for quite a while now. She quickly pushed out the thought of him meeting another woman, and looked front, waiting patiently for the wedding to start.
(ooc: sorry guys, my com really broke down. the hard drive went crash again. we can't even go to the desktop anymore. Using my mum's com for now. but not too long. sorry! >.<)

Giliathriel grinned as her some of the guests began to arrive. She noticed that Morgoth was looking particularly nice, especially with his hair combed. It stirred some emotion, to see him like that, but upon seeing the black thorny roses for Arwen and Aragorn, she barely stifled a laugh. She knew that this wedding was going to be a good one, especially in the after reception. Gili never could help herself from grabbing the nearest mug of ale. But, being a female general surrounded by roudy men, especially on the field, one picked up certain habits. Turning her head, she noticed the fair Lithlaewen walking in, although she was without Thranduil, which Gili thought odd. Gathering up the bottom of her light blue dress, but decided against it, and let it trail on the ground. She made her way over to Morgoth, and extended her hand in the formal general greeting. Hello, my good lord. You are looking particularly wellgroomed today. I can't wait for the after wedding reception, but the wedding itself is always very... well I'm sure the participants think it hopelessly romantic. And I'm happy for them. Gili turned, and waved at Lithlaewen, who she thought seemed a little lost, but maybe it was confusion over Thranduil's whereabouts.

Morgoth grinned at Lithlaewen and Giliathriel, nodding at the two ladies as they hovered around him... or rather, from their point of view, sat down at his table. It wasn't really his, but that wasn't of much import, and nobody chose to argue with him about that either. Feeling like being an annoying chap, as some called it, Morgoth poked the package Lith held, and then grinned at her. What's that? He asked, figuring it was probably something dreadfully boring like dishes or a gravy train. He saw that Gili had extended her hand, and Morgoth felt tempted to kiss it, sure it would make her feel awkward. The Dark Lord seemed to find enjoyment in that type of thing, keeping people on their toes was one form of entertainment.... Instead, he replied, his voice dry, but not quite evil. Hello, Lady G. Yes, don't I? I figured it was high time to lick my hair out good, but the hairballs were terrible.... As for the participants of the wedding, well, I won't say anything, as it is their "special day." Say, where are they, anyway? He asked, wanting the whole ordeal to get on.

Giliathriel's initial reacton to Morgoth's words about having hairballs. At first, she thought that maybe he could turn himself into a cat, but then realized that he was merely joking. That made her crack a big grin, and she smiled sweetly at Morgoth, and laughed. OF course, she then realized that maybe she should wait till the participants arrived (and yes, you guys being AWOL is a little... hindering) before getting all excited. She took this moment to get up, and greet her officers, who had just arrived a little late. Daren was looking particularly handsome, and so was Eldan. These were the only two that she had sanctioned to be here, and she knew anyone else would get drunk and be rowdy. Greeting, Daren, Eldan! I'm glad you could come. She then turned after they greeted her in turn back to the table where Morgoth and Lithlaewen were sitting.
DAREN Daren looked on with surprise as Commander Giliathriel walked over to him. He respected and admired, her, sure, but still, he had never seen her in anything other than breeches, and a dress was shocking to him, as well as the hairstyle. He greeted her in turn, and turned to Eldan, who merely waved and took a seat at another table, with Eldan following, and watched as Lady Giliathriel walked back to her seat with a rather surprising figure, Morgoth, the dark lord. He almost shrieked, but at the lopsided grin on Commander Gili's face, he knew everything was ok. He wanted the wedding to go without hindrance.
Also- the name change is only temporary. ok, happy now?XD

Drumming his fingers on the table, Morgoth glanced around, wondering, at least, when the refreshments would arrive. In the meantime, while hunching over a bit, the Dark Lord pulled a small decanter out of his robes, which was filled with a liquid that made feeble sloshing noises against the inside. He took a swig, then acted, to the other inhabitants of the place, as if he hadn't done such.
Who're they?He asked Gili in a gruff voice, partially due to the drink he'd just imbibed. Clearing his throat, the Vala cast his steely gaze on the two men, one of whom the commander of Arnor had greeted. It didn't matter much to him, but the new faces he was unacquainted with, and he rather looked forward to the chance to perver... greet them.

Gili was rather off in another world when she turned and saw Mo putting something away, she couldn't discern what, and then he asked about her, well, he'd call them underlings.Oh, them? They're two of my high ranking officers, and they're the only two that wouldn't crash the party, so they're just here. She gave the Dark Lord a small glare, and asked-Why are you asking? Looking for more minions? she said with a wink.

Smiling at Gili at her retort, Morgoth chuckled, then took a drink again, quick as a wink. In a very maternal voice, he said Because I wuv you snuggle muffin! The Dark Lord couldn't help but burst out in laughter, then pinch her cheek like so many grandparents. I wouldn't want my ickel Gili to get involved with any bad guys. He managed to say between gasps for air, then finally collapsed on the floor, convulsing with laughter.

The City Hall was in her sight's as the Lady Vairë gracefully walked through the Sixth Circle. The Guards smiled and bowed their heads slightly as they recognise the weaver and she nodded to each of them as she passed.
She entered the great hall with dignity, her head raised, for today was a large occassion, and with so many highly regarded guests in attendance, she knew this day would go down in history. Glancing around she recognised many, many whom she had seen as she had passed the lands of Middle Earth, her presence seemingly unknown and she just smiled...
