Cae entered into the great barn that was the battle area. She was proud of the place, there was much to be learnt and experienced here, and she could not wait to start the battles with the new trainees. She stood by the weapon rack and rested a moment whilst she waited for them to arrive...

(questions, what questions?)
Cae smiled at Tena well, I am glad to see that you are eager and ready to learn here! Now, first we must select a weapon to use, there are many here to select, all blunted of course so they will not hurt us in practise. Go ahead and choose, and then we can begin!

Milladra enters the arena, reading to learn some basic fighting skills. She is leading her close to pure white horse Lantae Elen, who's mane is flashing into her face as she walks. She mounts and rides over to Caewyn ready to start her training.

Cae smiled at Milladra and her horse.
My greetings freond min, and welcome to the training! Since we have three battles, I suggest that we concentrate on getting you skilled with the weapon on the ground first before we try on horseback, since you have little experience. It will make it much easier and you will be all the more skilled when we do try on horseback. Choose a weapon from the rack here, since you are Rohir I suggest a sword or spear, and then we will progress from there! You can leave your horse in the stables at the side of the barn if you wish, he will be well attended to! When you are ready, meet me on the field to the right of the barn.

Heading Caewyns words, Milladra led Lantae Elen over to one of the stables making sure that the stablehands new she was there before walking back over where Caewyn had positioned all the weapons you could choose. Examining each weapon closely, she finally picked a sword with a long blade that was well polished. She walked over to the arena standing at the side before yelling out "M'lady, i have chosen."

Cae smiled as she saw the weapon that Milladra had chosen. She led the Rohir over to the nearby river and gestured to a small boat that was attached to a small jetty.
Now to begin with, a very important aspect of fighting is your balance and steadiness, for without this, you will be unable to keep your feet in battle. One must be sturdy on their feet and able to recover quickly at all times. As you can see, there is a boat out there.
To begin with, we are both going to stand in the boat, and you are going to practice making a few stabs at me with the sword. I will not parry your blows, merely allowing you to find your own balance, the boat will rock with your movements and with the gentle current, therefore you are going to have to rely on your balance and steadiness to stay upright.
She let Millarda along the jetty and together they stepped into the boat, Cae stood at one end and Milladra the other.
Now make a few stabs at me from both sides, take your time and adjust to the movements, I'm sure you do not want to end up wet!
