What if Gollum hadn't have attacked Frodo inside the Crack of Doom? Would Frodo have run, would Sam have done what had to be done? Would Sauron have gotten his mits on the ring again.....and all because of Gollum? What do you think would have happened?

i think Sam might've pushed frodo in, because he was afraid. However, since Sam is such a nice guy, he may have let frodo disable him, and then sauron would've gotten the ring. Then, bad things would happen. but what?

I think all in all that if Sauron did get the ring, There would be no one could stop him.

If Sauron did get the ring not even the Valar could have stopped him. Morgoth was powerful.but he also didnt have a one ring either.Saurons power was strong even though his body was destoryed in the Downfall.and he also had the Nazgul to help him.

I agree. Only Eru Illuvatar could have stopped Sauron, and I don't think he would interfere. Although he created the Valar and Middle Earth, that doesn't mean he didn't create other worlds. He probably created the Valar and Maiar so that he could just leave it be and look in every once in a while. That means Sauron or Gorthaur would be unstoppable, unless all of the remaining maiar and valar somehow managed to increase their powers, and team up to stop him.

I think that Sam wouldn't have pushed Frodo in. Gollum, sure he would, but Sam loved Frodo, and he wouldn't have the heart to kill his master/ best friend. Frodo would have probably ran, obviously he couldn't escape the Nazgul, so the ring would have gotten back into Sauron's eyelashes... (hehe)... Sauron was only a Maiar, so the Valar could have stopped him, unless he unleashed Morgoth from his imprisonment. If he did manage to release the original dark lord, then no one could have stopped them...

If Sauron did get ahold the Ring once more and Middle-earth was to be destroyed don't you think that the Valars could have stopped him if they wanted to, i mean they stopped Morgoth the most powerfull of them all, of course being evil made him less powerful because of the hate to all good, but if they wanted to they could have stopped him. But if Sauron did get the Ring again and they Valars didn't stop him what would become of Eru's next plan or the next song?

Well Nina, Eru says in the Sil that everything that would happen on EA was wooven into the music, so he would have known sauron would get the ring, and something else would happen to stop him having it....i think...

I am not sure what would have happened, but the task would not have been completed, Gollum was key

I don't get the correlation between Gollum and this, but... yeah. Nothing stopped Sauron from having the ring in the first place, did it? I don't think the Valar or Eru would have interfered, the fate of Middle Earth was left to those that dwelt in it. In LotR, the only 'evidence' that there were outside forces at work was when Glorfindel made the river wash away the nazgul, and I'm not even sure that was related to Ulmo, or if it was just because of the "elf magic."
