"Hello, I was just visiting my relatives who live quite a way from here, near the Misty Mountains and then I came to have a chat with Tom Bombadil. I hope you don't mind me intruding. Fiwen again tucked her long golden hair behind her ears with long slender hands. There was a ring on one of her fingers, which glittered in the light.

"Tom Bombadil?" Bilbo asks. "Now there's a name that brings about many stories, or so I've been told. Young Frodo's encounter with him seems quite the adventure." Bilbo bends down and picks up the plate of seed cake, holding it out to his guest to offer her a piece. "Care for some seed cake? Really tasty stuff. If you don't mind my asking, which relatives were you out visiting out here? And I can't help but notice that lovely ring on your finger, what type of ring is it?"

"Ah well, it's quite a special ring. I will not speak more of it here, lest there be unfriendly ears listening outside. I am sorry that I must do this, but people have been known to eavesdrop outside this house, and I fear that the consequences would be grievous if I was to be overheard. I am sure that I saw Gollum sneaking around before," Fiwen said, looking at Bilbo through her blue eyes. "It is enough that you were able to see it: few have been able to do that. You should ask Frodo about it: he will tell you."

Oh yes, Bilbo, I hope you don't mind my intruding either. Tom Bombadil is known all around. I wouldn't pass up this chance. She says, a big grin on her face as she pushes her long hair out of her face and adjusts her sword, which has caught on her long dress.
